Barn Owl Suite – coming soon.

Dark, decadent and designed for a restful night’s sleep. Rich truffle tones, deep burgundy and dark walnut give Barn Owl its wonderfully moody feel. As our largest room, the suite offers plenty of space to really settle in, making it perfect for slow mornings or hunkering down after a beautiful meal downstairs.

Calming greens and warm neutrals set the tone throughout our village pub. Every corner, however large or small, offers a place to gather, linger and make memories.

We officially open our doors on 4th November. We so look forward to welcoming you!

There’s something quite homely about our village pub.

Sunlight streams through the windows, hops adorn the mantelpiece, and photographs from years gone by line the wonky walls.

For all table and room bookings, please email contactus@coldastonplough.com or call 01451822602.

Cosy corners and considered details, not too far from the bar.

With just two weeks until we officially open our doors, the final details are falling into place as we prepare to welcome you.

For all table and room bookings, please email contactus@coldastonplough.com or call 01451822602.

GUYS MEET OUR HEAD CHEF - IAN NEALE

For Ian, cooking with what grows around him isn’t a trend, it’s simply how he grew up.

Raised in the neighbouring Cotswold villages of Southrop and Eastleach, his earliest memories of food are of vegetables grown by his parents and grandparents, and an appreciation of the work, patience and reward behind truly fresh produce. Village pubs were part of life too, quietly shaping a love for the great British pub long before he stepped into a professional kitchen.

Over a career spanning 30 years, Ian has cooked at The Swan at Southrop, The Albion in Clifton and Bibendum in London, before coming back to the Cotswolds to lead his own kitchens. Along the way came Michelin Guide recognition, Taste of the West Gold awards and a string of other accolades but his approach to food has remained refreshingly simple: start with great ingredients and treat them with respect.

Now Ian brings that experience to The Plough, with British nose-to-tail cooking and exceptional local produce at the heart of his menus.

We are so excited
